NORWALK, Conn. – A boat worth $500,000 was reported missing Wednesday from Norwalk Cove Marina, and while police may have a suspect, the department is treating that matter as a theft.
The 2004, 45-foot Rampage Sport Fisherman was last seen by its owner on Feb. 16, but when the owner went to the marina to check on it on March 5 it was gone, police said. The name of the boat was not disclosed.
According to Sgt. Lisa Cotto, the owner said the boat may have been taken by a relative. But the department did not made contact with that individual soon after the filing of the report, and was treating it as a stolen boat.
