Norwalk Police Chief Thomas Kulhawik, along with Deputy Chiefs Susan Zecca and Ashley Gonzalez, joined Westport Chief Dale Call, Deputy Chief Foti Koskinas and Capt. Sam Arciola in displaying the pink 2016 Maserati at the hospital.

The vehicle, donated by Maserati of Westport, is not a patrol car, but will be highly visible this month in support of breast cancer awareness. The car also will serve to highlight the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Sherwood Island on Oct. 18.

Westport is not the only department in the area that will be riding a pink car this month. The Fairfield Police Department also has a pink cruiser in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Additional information about breast cancer and breast cancer screenings may be found at the American Cancer Society website.

Officials said that decals for the Maserati were donated by Fleet Auto Supply of West Haven.
