NORWALK, Conn. – A purse containing several documents with personal information was stolen out of a car on Hemlock Place in Norwalk, police said.
A woman reported she was visiting friends Tuesday night on Hemlock Place when she returned to her car to find the rear passenger side window had been smashed. The rock used to smash the window was lying on the floor, police said.
Taken from the car was a purse, which contained three passports, two birth certificates, two Social Security cards, the woman’s driver’s license, a health insurance card, several credit cards and about $8 in cash.
Another car burglary was reported earlier in the day on Knapp Street, police said. In that case, a $350 bag containing a wallet, passport, Social Security and credit cards was taken out of an unlocked car while it was parked in a driveway.
