Gino Rodriguez-Perez, 30, of Hazleton, Penn. was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespass. He was held on a $5,000 bond and will appear in court July 24.

Police said that Rodriguez-Perez drove up from Pennsylvania to meet with a resident of Harriet Street, whom he had met on Craigslist. The two had agreed to swap cars. When he arrived, the Norwalk resident saw that Rodriguez-Perez's car had fresh damage to it, including a dent and damage to the windshield, according to police reports. He then decided that he did not want the car.

Rodriguez-Perez became upset that the Norwalk man did not want to complete the deal, according to police. He became very agitated and was asked to leave, but refused, according to police reports. The Norwalk man then called the police.

Rodriguez-Perez continued to act irate when officers arrived, according to police. At one point he bent down to pick up a metal bar, but the officer told him not to and he stopped. Based on his movements and behavior, the officer patted him down and found 39 rounds of 9 mm ammunition in his pockets, according to police reports. No gun was found, police said.

Police said that Rodriguez-Perez appeared to be under the influence of narcotics during the incident. He first claimed that he had low blood sugar, but later said that he had high blood pressure, according to police reports. He was then placed under arrest.
