Video of the struggling stag show him flailing around to free himself, pulling the goal net about 30 or 40 feet across the rugby field at 1073 North Benson Road in the process, police said.

Officers managed to cut him free at about 9:45 a.m., and he ran off into the woods, police said.

The fields are used by teams at Fairfield University — which is, coincidentally, the home of the Stags.
