Norwalk Woman Charged With Drunken Driving In Westport Crash

WESTPORT, Conn. – A Norwalk woman wanted in connection with a drunken-driving crash in Westport turned herself in to police Tuesday after learning there was a warrant issued for her arrest, according to Westport police.

Jacqueline Hernandez, 33, was wanted on an arrest warrant stemming from a motor vehicle accident that happened in the early morning of Sunday, July 19, in Westport, police said. 

Both Hernandez and the passenger were taken to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation after the accident, police said.

Based on the officer’s observations and evidence at the scene of the accident, a search warrant for the Hernandez’s blood alcohol content was granted, which indicated Hernandez was under the influence at the time of the accident, according to police.

Hernandez was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol. She posted $500 bond and was issued a court date of Thursday, Sept. 3, according to police.
