Shawn Bowman, 18, was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, sale of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court Sept. 15.

The arrest comes after a three-month investigation by the Special Services Division into the sale of narcotics.

Police said that officers purchased marijuana from Bowman, and received a warrant to search his home. The warrant was executed Friday morning, and officers recovered 14 small baggies of marijuana in a bedroom dresser, as well as materials used for the sale of marijuana, including Ziploc bags, scales and cell phones, according to police.

Bowman was taken into custody without incident. Police said that the investigation indicated the Bowman was also selling other narcotics, but none were recovered during the search Friday morning. According to police, this is the third search warrant executed at Bowman's home in the past two years.
