Kevin Rosiclaire, 18, was taken into custody Friday in connection with an Aug. 1 incident that police said involved a second man, Patrick Elmore.

Rosiclaire and Elmore are accused of leading police on a chase while carrying a .22-caliber handgun, authorities said.

Officers recovered the gun after searching the men, they said, adding that DNA found on the recovered handgun matches Rosiclaire.

The arrest warrant for Rosiclaire was issued after police analyzed the case's DNA evidence. Interviews with people in proximity to the incident also were conducted by investigators, police said.
