Norwalk Police Urge Safety As New School Year Starts This Week

NORWALK, Conn. -- With Norwalk students going back to school on Wednesday, Aug. 30, the Norwalk Police Department is reminding all residents to be safe and keep an eye out for kids during the morning and afternoon commutes.

In a back to school public service message from the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, drivers are reminded that students, teachers, buses, crossing guards and coaches are all back. Police are asking drivers to be alert and watchful for buses and children to ensure that everyone has a safe and healthy start to the new school year.
