The man told police that he was driving with his girlfriend in Norwalk at about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 4 when the two got into an argument over a phone call, according to police reports. Because of the fight, he pulled the car over and got out.
Shekeyla Wills, 23, of Hope Street in Stamford, then got into the driver’s seat and began to drive away, according to the report. She eventually turned around and drove the car toward the man, missing him and hitting a wall, police said. After the collision she got out and threw pebbles and her flip-flops at the man, according to the report.
The boyfriend told police after the incident, and investigators filed a warrant for her arrest. She turned herself in after learning of the warrant Thursday.
Wills was charged with attempted first-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree assault Thursday. She was released on a promise to appear in court, and is due in court on Sept. 2.
