Norwalk Police: Shootings May Be Due To Feud Among Families

The two people shot Thursday night near the housing complex were in stable condition Friday morning with non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a statement. 

It occurred at about 9:35 p.m., when Norwalk Combined Dispatch received several 911 calls about shots fired, police said.

Officers responded to the Raymond Street side of the public housing complex, found the scene of the shooting and provided medical aid to two shooting victims, police said.

One victim was hit in the arm, while another victim was shot in the abdomen and leg, police said.

Norwalk Hospital EMS treated both victims at the scene and transported them to Norwalk Hospital. 

Officers as well as the Norwalk Police Department Crime Scene Unit secured the crime scene, spoke with residents and witnesses as well as located, preserved, protected and processed physical evidence.

The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau responded to the scene and took the lead on the investigation. Detectives are canvassing the area.
