Norwalk Police Seek Two Who Stole Credit Card From Elderly Woman

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are seeking the public's help in identifying two people who stole a wallet from an elderly woman.

Police said that a woman's wallet was stolen out of her purse at the Walmart on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk on Feb. 7. The victim's credit card was then used to purchase items at the Best Buy in Norwalk and at Target in Trumbull.

Video surveillance shows two women who are believed to have perpetrated the crime, police said.

Police are asking anyone who may recognize the two women or who have information about the incident to contact Detective Daniel Fitzmaurice at 203-854-3180. Citizens can also contact the Norwalk police tip line at 203-854-3111, submit a tip anonymously through the police website, or text an anonymous tip by typing "NPD" into the text field, followed by the message, and sending it to CRIMES (274637).
