Norwalk Police Seek Suspect In Grocery Store Robbery

NORWALK, CONN. -- Norwalk police are asking for the public's help in finding the man caught on camera who police say robbed the Krysshana Deli and Grocery on Main Street Tuesday.

Norwalk police said the suspect pushed behind the counter and assaulted the clerk before stealing money from the cash register.

The man tried to buy items, but when the credit card was declined, he went behind the counter and assaulted the clerk, police said. Then he took money from the cash drawer and ran off, police said.

Police released photos of the man shown inside and outside the store. Norwalk police detectives are asking anyone with any information to contact Detective Cisero at (203) 854-3034.

Anyone with information can also call the Norwalk Police Tip Line at (203) 854-3111, and anonymous Internet tips can be sent through the Norwalk Police website.

Anonymous text tips can be submitted by typing "NPD" into the text field, followed by the message, and sending it to CRIMES (274637).
