NORWALK, Conn. -- It’s been more than 20 years since Henry “Hank” Fink was found dead in his Norwalk home with his throat cut, police said.

Police are once again asking for the public’s help in locating his killer.

On Aug. 31, 1995, police received a phone call from a woman who said she was concerned that she hadn’t seen Fink in two days.

Officer Phil Roselle knocked on the door of the 68-year-old man’s apartment at 36 Woodbury Ave. but could not get an answer.

Paramedics were also called to the the scene, and one of them was able to crawl through an open window and let officers inside.

Fink’s body was found on the floor with multiple stab wounds and a slashed throat, police said.

Fink was known to have regular female visitors to his apartment, police said. Several “persons of interest” were identified, but none could be singled out as a suspect in the homicide, police said.

Evidence in the cold case is being reviewed to determine its forensic value and the possibility for DNA and fingerprint evaluation, police said.

Anybody with information about Fink’s death is asked to contact Lt. Art Weisgerber of the Cold Case Unit at 203-854-3028 or aweisgerber@norwalkct.org.
