Norwalk Police Seek Driver Who Hit Pedestrian Then Fled Crash

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Police Department are looking for the driver who left the scene after hitting a pedestrian Tuesday evening, according to police.

Police responded at 7 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash in the area of 5 Senga Road to initial reports indicating a vehicle had struck a pedestrian and fled the scene, said police.

Arriving officers located and aided a male victim who was subsequently transported to Norwalk Hospital by the Norwalk Emergency Medical Service to be treated for his injuries, according to police.

The vehicle that fled the scene was described as a newer gray Jeep, possibly a Cherokee, with right front-end damage, police said

The driver was described as a short, black male, and witnesses also observed a female passenger, said police.
