NORWALK, Conn. – A pit bull puppy, missing since March 5, is the subject of a Norwalk police investigation, according to the department.
The 8-week-old puppy, which goes by the name Lola, may have been taken during a burglary at the Hemlock Place home where he lived or she may have wondered off.
According to Police Lt. Praveen John, the dog was reported missing after the homeowners discovered a rear door of the home was open. Another adult dog owned by the homeowners was found wandering in the yard at the time, but the puppy was gone.
No items were reported stolen from the home, and there were no signs of forced entry, according to John.
Lola has a distinctive circular tan mark on top of her head, but she does not have a microchip embedded in her coat.
Police ask that anyone who sees the dog report it to the department at 203-854-3000.
