Norwalk Police Search For Kendall School Shooting Suspect

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk police are searching for Kareem Leach, 26, of Norwalk in connection with the Jan. 13 shooting and robbery in the parking lot at Kendall Elementary School, said Sgt. Thomas Roncinske.

The police department has a warrant for Leach’s arrest on charges of first degree assault, first degree robbery and conspiracy, and he should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Roncinske.

Leach stands five feet, seven inches tall and weighs 165 pounds, police said. He has been arrested by police in the past and he has a distinct tattoo of what appears to be Egyptian and other symbols on his right arm, according to police.

The robbery was described by police as a drug deal gone wrong and the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
