Norwalk Police Issue 36 Citations At DUI Checkpoint

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Department of Police Service issued 36 citations during a recent DUI checkpoint.

The checkpoint took place on West Avenue on Saturday, May 21. 

According to Public Information Officer Lt. Terrence Blake, the violations cited are as follows:

  • 3 DUI arrests
  • 2 drug citations
  • 28 motor vehicle charges
  • 1 cell phone
  • 3 seat belt violations
  • 1 fireworks violation
