Norwalk Police Investigating Two Overnight Shootings; 2 Occupied Houses Hit

NORWALK, Conn. — Multiple 911 callers reported two separate shooting incidents in the early morning hours on Sunday in Norwalk, police said.

At 3:07 a.m., 911 callers reported hearing shots fired on Spring Hill Avenue, police said. Officers responded to the area and determined that several rounds had been fired at and struck an occupied multi-family home at 11 Spring Hill Ave., police said.

Officers checked thoroughly and determined that no one had been injured, police said.

Combined Dispatch notified the Detective Division, which also responded to the scene. Officers then established a perimeter around the crime scene, located evidence and canvassed the surrounding neighborhood. Detectives documented and collected evidence and assumed control of the investigation.

A short time later, at 3:55 a.m., 911 callers reported hearing shots fired on Glasser Street. Officers responded and determined that several rounds had been fired at and struck an occupied home at 39 Glasser St., police said.

Officers investigated the area and again determined that no one had been hit by the bullets, police said. 

The Detective Division also responded to this scene, as officers established a perimeter, found evidence and did interviews in the neighborhood. Detectives joined n the documentation and collection of evidence and have assumed this investigation as well.

Detectives are continuing these investigations in the light of day on Sunday.
