The checkpoint will be held on the West Avenue corridor from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday. Additional rolling DUI units will be patrolling throughout the city.
"For too many, St. Patrick's Day has ended in tragedy due to drunk drivers getting behind the wheel," Norwalk police said. "On St. Patrick's Day from 2009 to 2013, there were 276 lives lost in drunk-driving crashes."
