Norwalk Police Collects More Than 30 Pounds Of Prescription Drugs

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Police Department took in more than 30 pounds of expired or unwanted prescriptions on National Drug Take-Back Day this past Saturday, according to police.

Norwalk residents are encouraged drop off unused prescription drugs in this drop box at the Norwalk Police Deparment headquarters, 1 Monroe Ave.

There is also a Drug Drop Box in the lobby at police headquarters, 1 Monroe St., where Norwalk residents may drop off their medications for free any time of the year, police said.

Residents are encouraged to continue in assisting the department in ridding the community of illegally diverted prescription drugs, said police.
