James Joseph, 36, of Allentown, Pa., was charged with possession of a hallucinogen and possession with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond. Jimmy Louis, 36, of Norwalk was charged with possession of marijuana, second-degree reckless endangerment and possession with intent to sell. He was held on $5,000 bond. Both will appear in court Jan. 23.
Police received a report at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday from a man who said he was following the two in a car after they had threatened him. He told police that he had been driving near the intersection of Main Street and New Canaan Avenue when the car driven by Louis cut him off and almost hit him.
He caught up to them at an intersection and exchanged words with the two, police said. At that point, Louis said that he had a gun and threatened the other driver, according to police reports. They took off, and the other driver began following them before calling police, according to police reports.
Officers located and stopped the car on North Main Street, police said. Upon searching the two, officers found that Joseph had three baggies of PCP in his possession and Louis had three baggies of marijuana in his possession, police said. Both were taken into custody.
