Norwalk Police Arrest Four In Drug Raid

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police arrested four people on drug charges Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation.

Christopher Adams, 47, of Norwalk; Andre Bjorntzen, 31, of Norwalk; Akeem McBride, 30, of Bridgeport; and Vincent Smith, 22, of Norwalk, were all arrested on multiple drug charges, including possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, possession within 1,500 feet of a school, and risk of injury to a minor.

Adams was held on $50,000 bond, McBride was held on $25,000 bond, Bjorntzen was held on $20,000 bond and Smith was held on $10,000 bond. They were each given a May 23 court date.

The Special Services Division conducted a raid on a Geneva Road home at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of narcotics, police said.

During the raid, Adams was found in one bedroom with 56 pieces of crack cocaine wrapped for sale, totaling 15.5 grams, according to police. They also found a large bag containing 8.8 grams of cocaine, as well as a digital scale, plastic baggies, product used as a cutting agent to cut narcotics, and $2,371 in cash, police said.

Smith was found in another bedroom with 25 small bags of marijuana totaling 17 grams, and two larger bags of marijuana totaling 76 grams, police said. The officers also found $1,162 in cash, a bottle of pills, two scales, packaging material, and ammunition for a 9mm gun, police said.

McBride was found in a third bedroom with four plastic bags of crack totaling 0.8 grams, police said. Bjorntzen was found sleeping on the couch with seven plastic bags of crack, according to police.

Officers also found a silver handgun in the basement, police said. Six other people were in the house during the raid, including a 16 year-old girl and two girls under the age of 12, police said. The house was also within 1,500 feet of a nursery school.
