Norwalk Officers Use Taser To Detain Alleged Gang Member

NORWALK, Conn. -- A man claiming to be a member of Norwalk's Money Avenue Boys gang was detained with the use of a Taser after he resisted arrest on Sunday, according to The Hour.

Samuel Branch, 18, was stopped by authorities while walking rom South Main Street toward Woodward Avenue. Police say Branch was taken to the ground when he went to reach in his waistband. Officers used a Taser on Branch after he allegedly failed to comply with officers, The Hour reported. 

During the struggle with police, Branch allegedly dropped a child's sock that contained bags of heroin, The Hour said.
