NORWALK, Conn. -- Two Norwalk men were arrested on drug charges by the Special Services Division of the Norwalk Police Department after a raid at a Van Zant Street home, police said.

Ryan Charles, 22, and Ricardo Torres, 20, were each charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession within 1,500 feet of a school. Each was held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court June 10.

Police raided Charles's home Wednesday after a months-long investigation into the sale of marijuana from the residence, according to police reports.

The home was considered a mid-level operation, police said.

Upon entering the home, officers found Charles in possession of 20 grams of marijuana, as well as packaging materials, scales and the materials required to facilitate a drug sales operation, police said. They also found Torres in possession of 22 grams of marijuana and packaging material, police said. The home is within 1,500 feet of a day-care facility.

Both men were taken into custody and arrested.

The issue with the Norwalk police department is clear. They are lost and have been for years. Many in Norwalk are pushing for outsourcing police services to a professional private company.
These petty drug arrests are a smoke screen to take attention away from the, 100s of unsolved violent crimes. The NPD hopes that the uneducated buy into the propaganda.

Replying to an article is not spamming. If you look closely, not single reply from your usernames about the actual article. Only that I posted. Why is that?

I think you are guilty of something and do not being called out.
You destroyed the norwalk comment section as that you did with other sites.

Effing loser

@CEO
What is your major malfunction? Do you realize just how unstable you come off with your constant accusation of everyone that makes you look foolish of being the same person.. Wait I know now you will make the same accusation about me.. GET BACK ON YOUR MEDS TROLL.

This is hardly a drug bust if there are no pills and no powder. They will do no time.

I think it is madness to spend our police resources,court-room time and probation or rehab or jail/prison for petty marijuana sales. The police are equally petty.

This is what police departments that cant solved the real crimes do, like the shooting and murders in Norwalk .
Norwalk has at least a shooting every other week and not one of them ever results in an arrest by the NPD. This is the reason that many are now calling for outsourcing police services in Norwalk to a private professional company.

Violent crime continues to be out of control inNorwalk and the NPD is worrying about this non.. The NPD is a complete and total failure.

What a joke. Shame the failures of the Norwalk Police Department don't put the same effort into getting the ones responsible for the 100s of unsolved shootings and killings of the past 4 years.

1 murder in a couple years is pretty good. What shootings? Are you making things up again?

First it was 1 murder in 18 months. . However in the past 5 years Norwalk has had ay least a dozens murders. .Also Norwalk has had 100's of shootings... Anyone that actually lives in Norwalk is aware of this.

Also the NPD has solved ZERO of these. This is why people feel so comfortable committing crimes in Norwalk.

The problem is you have no proof, you have been posting the same crap for years but cannot back anything.
17 years in Norwalk, only crime was fighting in sono. You are angry with the police and just yap away like a chickenshit behind a computer.

Actually anyone that actually lives in Norwalk and pays attention to any of the local media is aware that "look at this "is 100 percent correct.

Retarded as in "unable to write a sentence" retarded?

Again, 25 user names all reply about ME and nothing to do with the article. Very odd indeed. I have a feeling, your pal Casey is going to come rescue you and delete all the posts.
Awww how cute!
