NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk resident who woke up in the middle of the night to find an intruder in his home early Thursday scared the man off with a pillow, police said.
A Highland Avenue resident called police at 2:40 a.m. Thursday. He told police he was sleeping when he was awakened by the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway.
The resident then saw a man walking into his bedroom, police said. The resident threw a pillow at the man, who then ran out of the house, police said.
Police responded to the area with canines and attempted to locate the suspect, but the dogs were unable to pick up a trace of him. Nothing was taken in the invasion, and the incident is still under investigation, police said.
