Zachary Fisher, 25, was due to appear in court Thursday to face a jury on drug charges dating back to February of 2016, according to the Hour. At around 6 p.m. Wednesday police responded to an accident near Nathan Hale Middle School on Strawberry Hill Avenue, and Fisher was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive right about five hours later, the Hour reported.
Police told the Hour that on Feb. 3, 2016, when officers went to Fisher's Muffin Lane home as part of an investigation to someone else, Fisher ran out the back door and was arrested after a short chase. Fisher was found in possession of a pound of marijuana, 5.57 grams of cocaine, a prescription Lidocaine patch, grow lamps, and more than $15,000 in cash, according to the Hour.
Fisher was arrested on numerous charges, including possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
