Norwalk Man Faces Charges After Scuffle With Police

NORWALK, Conn. -- A 35-year-old Norwalk man is facing charges after police say he hurt himself and police trying to flee when officers found him sleeping on the sidewalk early Wednesday along Wall Street, according to the Hour.

Willberth Porras-Padilla, of Flax Hill Road, was treated at Norwalk Hospital for injuries from falling into a plate glass window trying to escape police, according to the Hour. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace, and also for interfering with an officer, the Hour reported.

Police told the Hour that he appeared intoxicated when they found him at around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday on the sidewalk. He shoved at officers trying to help him up, the Hour said.
