Norwalk Man Doesn't Get Far In Stolen Car, Crashes Into Bush In Parking Lot

NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man didn't get far with a stolen car after crashing into a bush in a city business's parking lot Monday evening, police said.

Daniel Sosa-Jeronimo. 23, of 18 Lawrence St., was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal trover, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree larceny. 

He was also charged with carrying a dangerous weapon in connection with an incident earlier this year, police said. There was no information available on that charge.

Two men were at the Norwalk Lawn & Outdoor Power Equipment on Monday evening when one noticed his friend's yellow 2003 Volkswagen being driven away, Sgt. Rafael Fonseca said. He alerted his friend, and they quickly ran after the vehicle, he said. 

They didn't have far to run after Sosa-Jeronimo crashed the car into a bush on the business's property, Fonseca said.

The two men were grabbed the suspect and held him for police.

His bond was set at $50,000, and his first scheduled court date is March 23.
