Louis Azolin, 59, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, second degree threatening and interfering with a 911 call, all misdemeanors, and held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Police said Azolin and his sister, 54, argued when he couldn't find his passport and she said she didn't know where it was.

The argument escalated and Azolin allegedly picked up two kitchen knives and tried to stab his sister, police said.

The sister, who was not injured, ran to her bedroom and tried to call the police, but Azolin allegedly grabbed her cell phone and left the home, police said. She later called the police and officers said they found the two knives in the back of Azolin’s car.

Azolin was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court Monday.
