Norwalk Man Charged With Throwing Urine On Hospital Worker

NORWALK, Conn. – A homeless man was accused of throwing urine on a Norwalk Hospital employee while receiving treatment there early Wednesday morning, police said.

Police were called to The Office, a club on Liberty Square, at about 11 p.m. Tuesday night for reports of a fight outside the bar, according to police reports. Officers did not find an altercation at the address, but saw Yasdiel Moya, 31, of Norwalk outside the bar bleeding from cuts on his hands, police said.

Moya appeared intoxicated and could not answer officer’s questions about his injuries, according to police reports. The club’s bouncer told police that he had been thrown out of the bar for causing an argument inside, police said.

Moya was issued a ticket for creating a public Disturbance and taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. While he was there, police received a second call at about 12:30 a.m. that he had thrown a cup of urine on a hospital technician, according to the police report.

He was arrested at the scene and charged with an assault on an emergency worker. Moya was held on a $50,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
