Norwalk Man Charged With Strangulation During Domestic Dispute

NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man has been charged with strangulation following a domestic incident in June at the Sheffield Ridge Condominiums, according to The Hour.

James Cunningham, 42, was charged after police responded to the complex for a call of domestic violence. When they arrived, the victim told officers they had been choked and grabbed by Cunningham while he held a knife to their throat, said The Hour.

Cunninghan is also reported to have told the victim, "You need to die," during the attack. The victim received minor injuries, added The Hour.

The Maple Street resident was charged with threatening, disorderly conduct, strangulation, and larceny. He is being held on $25,000 bond, said The Hour.
