Tobachia Williams, 33, was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief. He was held on $3,000 bond and will appear in court Jan. 16.
Officers discovered the burglary of the North Main Street restaurant Dec. 23 while on patrol. The front window and door had been smashed with a brick that was lying nearby, according to police reports. The cash register was missing and was later found on Madison Street, although the $150 in cash it contained was missing.
After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Williams’s arrest, and he was taken into custody Tuesday.
