NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on Monday, Oct. 26, and charged with shooting  teenager in the abdomen a week earlier, police said.

According to police, the shooting was reported Oct. 19, when officers responded to the area of 176 Main St. As officers were arriving on the scene, they received a report from Norwalk Hospital that a man, Kevin Rosiclair, 18, had walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.

Norwalk Detective Fitzmaurice, with the assistance of other members of the Detective Bureau, conducted a detailed investigation. Wiggins was identified as the person responsible for shooting Rosiclair, police said.

On Oct. 26 Wiggins was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Ann Street and charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on $250,000 bond.

In an arrest in a separate incident, Rosiclair was arrested on gun charges Friday. Read about this arrest here on the Daily Voice .
