NORWALK, Conn. – A New York man was accused of causing a disturbance at the Norwalk Police station last week after he refused to show identification to recover property, according to police reports.

A Norwalk woman turned over a television and GPS unit to police Friday, police said. The woman had borrowed the items from an acquaintance and did not want the man to come to her home or work to retrieve them, according to her report.

Brendon Brucale, 27, of New York City went to claim the items Friday night, police said. Officers asked for his identification to confirm that the items were his, police said.

Brucale refused and began cursing and kicking the doors of the police station, according to the police report. He also struck officers who tried to subdue him after he refused to stop, police said.

Brucale was charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with police and assault on a peace officer. He was released on $25,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 31.
