NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was charged with breaking a door to a home and hitting a woman who lived there on Sunday night, according to the Hour.
Police told the Hour that they responded to a home on Old Lantern Place at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on a report from a man who said he had received a call from a woman who lived there, who said that someone had entered the home. The call then disconnected, causing the man to call police, according to the Hour.
When police arrived, they encountered Cameron Farzam, 26, outside, and a woman inside who appeared injured and upset, the Hour reported. She told police that Farzam had come over to beat up his girlfriend who was at the residence after a fight, according to the Hour. He broke in through a door and struck the other woman, according to the Hour.
Farzam, who has a criminal history, was taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, according to the Hour. His bond was set at $25,000 and he went to court on Monday, the Hour reported.
