Antonio Silva, 34, was charged with second-degree threatening and third-degree assault. He posted $7,500 bond and given a court date of Wednesday. Later in the day, he was charged with violation of conditions of release and held on $20,000 bond.

Police were called to L.A. Fitness at noon Tuesday on reports of a disturbance. Silva had gone into the gym to confront his wife about something and when she left he followed her out, police said.

He grabbed her by the hair, knocked her hat off and punched her in the head, police said. He also threatened to kill her and keyed the side of her car, according to police reports. Officers located him at his home on Bedford Avenue and took him into custody, police said.

When Silva was released, one of the conditions was that he have no contact with his wife, police said. But she went to police headquarters at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday saying that he had called her about 10 times since his release, police said.

She had also found him at their residence, where he was not supposed to be, police said. When she was in the lobby to make her complaint, he showed up at police headquarters and began causing a disturbance in the lobby, according to police reports. He was taken into custody again.
