Police received a 911 call early Monday consisting of only a scream from a female voice before the call disconnected. The call was traced to a Princeton Street home, where officers found a 52-year-old woman outside in a state of distress, according to police reports.

Gary Bozzett, 57, of Princeton Street was inside the house at the time and initially said he and the woman had just had a verbal argument, police said. When separated from Bozzett, the victim told police that he had grabbed her by the neck, choked her and slapped her when she attempted to end the relationship, according police reports.

He then threatened to kill the woman and himself before forcing himself on her sexually, according to the victim’s statement to police. The woman was taken to Norwalk Hospital for a physical evaluation, police said.
