NORWALK, Conn. -- A 22-year-old Norwalk man was arrested in front of his Quintard Avenue home early Friday after police observed a drug deal.
Members of the Norwalk police Special Services Division saw Michael Scott making a drug sale at about 8:30 a.m. and apprehended him following a brief foot chase, according to Lt. Jim Walsh. No other arrests were made.
Police accused Scott of having more than a gram of crack cocaine in his possession, and after searching his home they found a large, but undisclosed, amount of cash and what are believed to be drug records.
Scott was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and other related charges was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
He was handed over to the custody of state corrections officials because he was wearing an electronic ankle probation bracelet in connection with a separate, unrelated criminal case.
