Norwalk Fire Department Seeks Donations As It Launches Toy Drive

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Fire Department is hosting the Children Connection’s annual toy drive and is seeking donations from the public to help the cause.

This year, all five fire stations in the city are accepting donations of new toys and gifts, which will be be distributed to nearly 3,000 children living throughout lower Fairfield County. 

“This is a wonderful opportunity to provide support to the Human Services Council and help children in need during this holiday season,” Fire Chief Denis McCarthy said in a statement. “We hope that using the five local firehouses will make it quick and convenient for residents or businesses that want to drop-off toy donations this holiday season.”

The fire department locations are:

  • Station 1 at 90 New Canaan Ave.
  • Station 2 at Headquarters at 121 Connecticut Ave., third floor
  • Station 3 at 56 Van Zant St.
  • Station 4 at 180 Westport Ave.
  • Station 5 at 23 Meadow St.
