Charged with multiple counts of larceny, credit card theft, receiving goods obtained illegally and illegal use of a credit card are Erika Lahaie, 22, of 31 Fair St., and Darnell Richardson, 25, of 12 Grove St. Richardson is also charged with making a false statement to police.

A Walgreens employee reported to police in November that a debit card and keys had been taken out of her locker and that the debit card had been used.

Lt. Terry Blake said detectives went to the businesses where the card had been used. At one of the businesses, an employee recognized Lahaie, who was a former employee of the business, as allegedly using the card, Blake said. Richardson was also seen on the store's surveillance video, Blake said.

Officers conducted interviews with the suspects and Thursday arrested Richardson at the 31 Fair St. address, police said. Police traveled to the Pet Pantry Warehouse in Wilton where Lahaie works, but she was not there because she had traveled to the police station to turn herself in, police said.

Bond was set at $15,000 each. The first court appearance is scheduled  for Jan. 5 for each.
