NORWALK, Conn. – A 27-year-old Stratford man was arrested by Norwalk police Monday in connection with a perceived threat on his ex-girlfriend, police said.

Police said the man sent a text to his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend, a Norwalk resident, on Feb. 13 that contained a picture of a motorcycle with a sign in the background with a gun that read.  The text said, "If you’re found here tonight, you’ll be found here tomorrow," police said.

The woman perceived the picture as threatening, police said. Police said they contacted the man, who admitted he sent the picture, but he claimed he had bought a new motorcycle that he was showing the woman.

Police arrested the man on charges of second-degree harassment and second degree threatening, both misdemeanors. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court Tuesday.
