NORWALK, Conn. – An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash early Thursday from the 7-Eleven convenience store in the Shell gas station at 247 Main Ave., which marks the second time store has been robbed this month.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at about 1:10 a.m., according to Sgt. Drew Sedlock. The robber was described as a male, whose face was covered, who entered the store alone and demanded cash from the register, Sedlock said. He displayed a weapon, said Sedlock, who did not disclose what type it was.
After grabbing the cash, the man ran out of the store and fled on foot. Police used search dogs to comb the area, but the robber was not found.
The store was robbed in a similar fashion May 13, according to police.
