Nissan Xterra With Keys Left Inside Reported Stolen From Darien Driveway

DARIEN, Conn. -- A personal driver left his Nissan in the driveway of a home on Rocaton Road in Darien in order to drive his client to the airport and returns a couple hours later to discover that his car was gone, police said.

The incident took place on Saturday, Aug. 19. The complainant told police that he had left his personal car, a 2005 Nissan Xterra, in the driveway in order to drive his client to the airport using his client's vehicle. He left at around 4:30 a.m., and when he returned at around 6:15 a.m. he discovered that his Nissan was gone.

The driver told police that he had left his keys in the cup holder of the center console. A canvas of the neighborhood was conducted, with negative results, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
