Messiah Frazier, 2, was located at around 2:30 p.m. Friday at the home in Manhattan by the Westport Police Department. The boy was in good health, police said. He is being transported back to Connecticut and will be turned over to the Department of Children and Families.

A Silver Alert had been issued for Messiah Thursday after he had been reported missing at around 4:45 p.m. Police responded to 1655 Post Road E No. 53 and learned that Messiah had been last seen with his uncle, Danny Frazier, when they were dropped off at a barber shop in Norwalk.

Police said that Danny Frazier had left Messiah and gone to a bank, check cashing store and cell phone store, all in Norwalk. It was unknown who was supervising the child at this point, police said.

According to police, Danny Frazier is a known drug addict and convicted felon, and not the biological father of Messiah. Attempts to contact him were unsuccessful Thursday.

Westport Police worked with the FBI,  U.S. Marshals, and surrounding police departments and developed information that Messiah may have been brought to a relative's home in Manhattan, police said. Detectives responded to Manhattan, where they located him in good health.

Police said the investigation into Danny Frazier will continue, but that locating Messiah was the department's highest priority.
