Man Wanted In Brooklyn Stabbings Arrested In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford Police arrested a man wanted for two stabbings in Brooklyn during a raid on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad members conducted a drug raid on a Hall Place home at around 6 a.m. Wednesday, during which 25-year-old Justin Velez was apprehended. Stamford Police were then contacted by the Brooklyn Warrant Squad, informing them that Velez was wanted on a felony arrest warrant in connection with two stabbings, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The two stabbings were believed to have happened recently, and one left a man in critical condition, according to the Stamford Advocate. Velez is being held on a $150,000 bond and is contesting the arrest, the Stamford Advocate reported.
