NORWALK, Conn. – A Bridgeport man was struck by a train at the South Norwalk Metro-North station Saturday evening, but is in stable condition, a Metro-North spokesperson said.

The man was lying on the platform near the yellow safety strip, according to preliminary findings from the MTA Police. The train engineer noticed the man lying on the ground and blasted the horn several times, the spokesperson said, and the man rolled closer to the train.

He was then struck in the head by the train, but according to the spokesperson, the head injury was not life threatening.
