Man Shot Multiple Times In Norwalk On Christmas Eve

NORWALK, Conn. – A man was shot multiple times outside at Carleton Court Tuesday, Norwalk Police said in a press release.

The shooting was reported outside Building 2 of the Grove Street housing complex at about 4 p.m. Tuesday. The victim, a 24-year-old Bridgeport man, was in a parked car at the time of the shooting, according to the police report.

The victim’s injuries do not appear life threatening. The man was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition, police said.

The suspect ran through a back yard on Novak Street and onto South Main Street after the incident. He was described as a short black male with either dreadlocks or braids in his hair, wearing a black jacket and grey sweatpants, police said.

Norwalk Police checked the area for the suspect and evidence, and are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information can contact police at 203-854-3111, at the Norwalk Police website, or via text message by sending the keyword “NPD” and a message to CRIMES (274637).
