NORWALK, Conn. – A Stamford man was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s Norwalk home while she slept earlier this month, according to police reports.
A Strawberry Hill Avenue resident reported that her home was broken into overnight on Dec. 10. She woke up about 4:30 a.m. that day to find her house in disarray. A pack of cigarettes and some cash from her purse were reported missing, police said.
The woman told police that she suspected her ex-boyfriend Moises Morales, 37, of Stamford. Morales had previously taken her car without her permission, but was stopped before she could file a stolen vehicle report, according to police reports.
Morales was arrested on a warrant Sunday and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal trespassing. He was held on a $10,000 bond, and is due in court on Jan. 9.
