Investigators from the Stamford Police Department released video of the suspect on Friday, who attempted to steal the golf cart by hitching it to the back of his pick up truck shortly before 10:30 p.m. on March 16 at the golf course.

In the video, the white male suspect can be seen pulling his Ford F150 up near the golf cart, which was parked overnight. After unsuccessfully attempting to attach the golf cart, he backs up, tying the rear wheel of the cart to a tow hitch on the back of his truck. When he accelerates, the knot breaks and he proceeds to speed off, away from the golf cart.

Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect or who may recognize his truck has been asked to contact the Stamford Police Department Property Crimes Division by calling (203) 977-4407. Tips can also be directly sent to the Stamford Police Department Facebook page.
